Happenings Around School:
Walk A Thon: Walk A Thon envelopes have all been sent home and are ready to be filled with money! Please help your child ask loved ones for a donation to their school. In the past, we’ve had kids do lemonade stands, chores, etc to raise money. No donation amount is too small and any donation amount will win your child a prize! Envelopes will be collected at school on Thursdays, through October 3rd.
Walk A Thon is our largest fundraiser of the year (in close competition with Spring Frenzy!). All proceeds raised go DIRECTLY back to our school and support technology, sensory tools, student events and more!
Don’t forget to order your WAT T-shirts (see attached picture)! These are great for homecoming spirit wear, football games, and school functions!
VISIT http://www.slepto.org/membership/walk-a-thon/ TO DONATE OR ORDER YOUR T-SHIRT – Feel free to share the link!
Box Tops: Box Tops for Education has gone digital! General Mills has introduced a new app that allows people collecting Box Tops to photograph or scan their grocery receipts to the app after buying a participating General Mills product. The app can be found on the Apple app store or on Google Play. It will automatically donate 10 cents to South Lebanon Elementary. Participants will have 14 days from the time they purchase a product to submit their receipt. The company eventually plans to phase out clippable Box Tops but there are still some out there so please continue sending them in! If you have any questions, please contact Holly McIntosh at hwickham@yahoo.com. I have been using the app for a few weeks now and it’s easy to use! See attached flyer for more info!
Art To Remember: Art to Remember is coming soon! We are working hard to finish our special Art to Remember artworks in art class. In October, students will receive a personalized order form to order a special keepsake created from their own artwork. This is not only a cool experience for the kids to see their artwork come to life, but it is also a fundraiser for our school’s art program. Fore more information contact Stacy Hoffert, SLE Art, shoffert@kingslocal.net
Kings Closet: Kings Kloset can help supply students and their families with shoes, outerwear, clothing, and school supplies, among other things, FREE OF CHARGE.  Kings Kloset is located on the 2nd floor of the KEC and is open during set hours as announced via the Knights Nation News, Facebook and more.
Kings Kloset takes donations of freshly washed clothing in all sizes (newborn-adult,) as well as shoes and outerwear in the same size range.  Donated items should be free of pet hair and in good condition.
